COSMIC HOCKEY ANNOUNCES INAUGURAL SEASON
Introducing the Chilly Peppers and Neon Miracles Teams
FRISCO, TEXAS - With the success of Cosmic Baseball with over 90 sellouts since its inception in 2024, Cosmic Sports announced the formation of their newest cosmic sensation earlier this summer: Cosmic Hockey! The inaugural season of the Cosmic Hockey Takeover Tour will consist of two teams, the Chilly Peppers and Neon Miracles, playing in 7 markets, including Frisco at the Comerica Center!
Cosmic Hockey continues the “Chili Pepper” tradition with the flagship team, the cool and fierce, Chilly Peppers. The Chilly Peppers will hit the ice against the Neon Miracles, a team that pays tribute to the most historic event in hockey history. Both teams, consisting of professional players, will train in Lake Placid at the Herb Brooks Arena before barnstorming the country.
“After seeing the unbelievable energy and excitement surrounding Cosmic Baseball, taking this concept to the ice was the natural next evolution for us,” says Chris Martin, Owner and Founder of Cosmic Sports. “Cosmic Hockey isn't just a game played under blacklights. It’s an immersive, high-energy entertainment experience that blends elite athletic speed with pure magic. We’ve re-imagined what a hockey game can look and feel like, and we can’t wait for fans to step into the arena and experience it live for the first time.”
Fans can expect an electrifying, fun, and family-friendly game at Cosmic Hockey. Prior to each game, there will be a block party for fans to have a chance to meet the players, early access to merchandise, and more. Each game will consist of 2 halves of hockey with modified, creative rules to show off the skill and creativity of the players, while encouraging more fan interaction. The first half will be played under standard arena lighting and the second half under UV-reactive black lights. Under the black lights, player uniforms, gear, and puck will light up the arena in a neon glow. Fans are encouraged to participate by wearing reactive clothing to the games. Reactive merchandise will also be sold at the games.
“Cosmic Hockey merges the skill and creativity of hockey with the immersive technology of Cosmic Sports. Whether you’re a long-time fan of hockey or it's your first experience with the game, Cosmic Hockey will deliver a one-of-a-kind, unforgettable experience,“ states John Cimperman, VP of Cosmic Hockey.
