FRISCO, TEXAS (March 5, 2020) – Due to overwhelming demand, Cirque du Soleil is thrilled to add an additional performance to their limited engagement of OVO at Frisco’s Comerica Center. The additional performance of OVO will be added on Saturday, April 25, 2020 at 12:30 PM, making a total of eight performances. Tickets to this additional show are currently on sale.

OVO, a colorful, high-flying and energetic day in the life of an insect colony, makes its Frisco debut in April 2020 after having touring in arenas all over North America, Europe and South America since April 2016. OVO will be presented at the Comerica Center  Thursday, April 23, 2020 to Sunday, April 26, 2020 for eight performances only. Other performances include: Thursday, April 23rd at 7:00 PM, Friday, April 24th at 4:00 PM and 7:30 PM, Saturday, April 25th at 4:00 PM and 7:30 PM, and Sunday, April 26th at 1:30 PM and 5:00 PM.

Thrilling more than 6 million people worldwide since the show premiered in Montreal in 2009 as a Big Top production, OVO embarked on a new journey, performing the same captivating production, but in arenas, giving more audiences an opportunity to enjoy a Cirque du Soleil show in their own town. Since 2016, the arena tour has traveled to 22 different countries, including the United States, Germany, Canada, Brazil, Argentina, France, Spain, Portugal, the United Kingdom and Chile.

OVO, meaning “egg” in Portuguese, is a headlong rush into a colorful ecosystem teeming with life, where insects work, eat, crawl, flutter, play, fight and look for love in a non-stop riot of energy and movement. When a mysterious egg appears in their midst, the insects are awestruck and intensely curious about this iconic object that represents the enigma and cycles of their lives. It is love at first sight when a gawky, quirky insect arrives in this bustling community and a fabulous ladybug catches his eye – and the feeling is mutual.

The cast of OVO is comprised of 52 performing artists from 17 countries specializing in over ten different high-level acrobatic acts including foot juggling & Icarian games, hand balancing, contortion, aerial straps, slack wire, Russian cradle and a signature final act mixing the trampoline with tumbling & rock-climbing.
